Toussaint Meghie is the founder of Union Health & Wellness – a performance and wellbeing company that unites body, mind and energy. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in the worlds of TV, theatre and holistic coaching, he blends mindset training, meditation and movement to help people perform with calm focus and emotional balance.
Through Union Health & Wellness, Toussaint teaches people from all walks of life from professional performing artists, athletes, and corporate teams how to turn pressure into presence. His programmes combine breathwork, yoga, visualisation and mentoring, supporting clients to build confidence, recover fully and thrive. Toussaint’s mission is to empower individuals to unlock their potential and lead lives of purpose, resilience and joy.

I had been trying to conceive since May 2017. After the first failed month I had said to myself not to get my hopes up and hope to be happily surprised. In January 2018 I spoke to Toussaint without actually revealing the issue I was facing. I told him I needed to change something in my life. He gave me a new way of thinking and told me to visualise the long term goals I wanted, rather than the short term. I started by following his advice to get in tune with my body and mind and then began to look for a recite positive affirmations daily. I got my positive test in February and I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. The positive thoughts worked!

He combines yoga sessions, catered to how I feel on the day and the area we need to focus on, which keeps things fun and interesting. My time with Toussaint means I now sit at my desk better, check in on my posture while running, have better upper body strength, and my wife says my posture is now better when I stand still. Toussaint gave me a pick and mix of different physical activities to begin with in our sessions; but we arrived at Yoga as the best way for me to improve my upper body strength, posture and escape from a busy week at work. I never thought I'd be a yoga person - but am thankful to Toussaint for introducing me to it.
